Battle

A timed head-to-head match between two TikTok Live streams, with the winner determined by which side's viewers send more diamonds in gifts.

Also known as: Battle, PK, PK battle, Player Knockout

A battle (also called PK, short for "Player Knockout") is a competitive feature in TikTok Live where two streamers go head-to-head in a timed match. Both creators' streams are shown on screen simultaneously. Their viewers send gifts during the match window, and the side with the higher total diamond count at the buzzer wins.

Battles are short — typically 2–5 minutes — and high-intensity. They concentrate gifting into a narrow time window and are one of the highest-leverage revenue events on the platform. A creator who battles strategically (against opponents whose audiences will fight back hard, but not so hard that the match becomes uncloseable) can earn more in 5 minutes of battling than in an hour of solo streaming.

TikTok battles support several formats: 1v1 (the classic), 2v2 (two creators per side), and asymmetric formats like 1v2 and 1v3. There's also a free-for-all mode where 3+ creators compete with no teams. Streampace's battle profitability view breaks down a creator's history by format — 1v1, 2v2, multi-way, FFA — with average diamonds per battle and W/L records, so creators can see which formats actually pay.
