Mic battle
A non-monetized battle format where two streamers share mic time, no diamond stakes — often used as a warm-up or as a strategic alternative to a scored battle.
Also known as: Mic-only battle, Mic-up
A mic battle is a TikTok Live multi-streamer format with no diamond stakes. Two (or more) creators connect their streams and share mic time, but viewers cannot send battle-specific gifts and there's no winner-loser scoring. It's a conversational format — closer to a Twitch raid or a podcast guest spot than to a competitive battle.
Mic battles are commonly used as warm-ups before a scored battle, as a way to grow a guest creator's audience by tapping into the host's viewership, or as a deliberate alternative when a creator wants to collaborate without the time pressure and gift-sniping intensity of a scored battle.
From an analytics perspective, mic battles still produce gift events (regular Live gifts continue to work) but they don't appear in battle profitability views. Streampace tracks them as a separate connection-event class.
